Athens, Greece:-Tonga Prime Minister, Hon Hu’akavameiliku and Palau President, Surangel Whipps Jr. champions of the Unlocking Blue Pacific Prosperity led a dialogue co-hosted by the Besos Foundation and the Pacific Community (SPC)with Partners this afternoon on the sidelines of the “Our Oceans Conference” including billionaire philanthropist Ted Waitt and other renowned philanthropic organisations including Bloomberg, National Geographic, and partners including US State Department , Australia. The initiative seeks to achieve 100 percent ocean management and 30 percent protection, food security and new innovative ways of financing. The dialogue marks a key regional effort endorsed by Pacific Leaders in Cook Islands last year anticipated to be a significant conservation movement in the Pacific in pursuit of Leaders Vision under the 2050 Strategy.
