Today, the Honourable Prime Minister and members of Parliament took their oaths in the Legislative Assembly, pledging to uphold and abide by the Constitution of Tonga and be truly loyal to His Majesty the King.

Closing the agenda on the first sitting of parliament, the Prime Minister announced a first, the Government’s 100‑Day Plan outlining the key priorities and actions for the next 100 workdays. To be delivered by each Ministry. This plan aligns with the pending Tonga Strategic Development Framework III and lays the groundwork for the government’s new budget to be presented at the end of the financial year.
