The Prime Minister’s Office hosted its second Press Conference for Government Chief Executive Officers on Friday, 13 March 2026.
Chief Executive Officers in attendance were chaired by the Acting Chief Secretary, and Secretary to Cabinet, Mr Sione Fifita. Also present were the Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Finance and National Planning, Mrs Kilisitina Tuaimeiʻapi; Commissioner of Police, Mr Geoff Turner; Solicitor General, Mr Sione Sisifa; Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of MEIDECC, Mr Sione ʻAkauʻola; Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development, Mrs Distaquain Tuʻihalamaka, and the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ms ‘Akosita Polota.
This press conference forms part of the Government’s ongoing commitment to transparency and to keeping the public informed about its work, plans, and services. The next press conference, will be with the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers, and will be held on the last Friday of this month, 27 March 2026.
