Arrival of Pfizer Vaccines

The Prime Minister Hon. Rev. Dr. Pohiva Tu’i’onetoa received donations of Pfizer Vaccines from the Government of New Zealand at the VIP Lounge of the Fua’amotu International Airport on October 20, 2021.
In his opening statement the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Government and People of New Zealand for donating the Pfizer Vaccines, which will benefit all young people -12 to 17 years as well as pregnant women.
This is not the first time New Zealand has helped the Tongan health sector, earlier this year it received enough doses for the 18 years and older population. The vaccines are set to start rolling out on Thursday 21st October, 2021.
