Honourable Prime Minister, Hu’akavameiliku held meeting with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Baku, Azerbaijan, 13 May 2024:- The Honourable Prime Minister, Hu’akavameiliku had a meeting with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E Mr. Ilham Aliyev, this morning. This meeting was a part of the preparations to gather resources that Azerbaijan needs to ensure that the voices of all parties, especially Small Islands Developing States that are most affected by the consequences of climate change, are heard. During the meeting, both leaders discussed effective ways to address climate challenges and gain a deeper understanding of Tonga’s stance on climate change issues.
