PRC Ambassador hosted a reception of his assumption in office

His Excellency, Mr. Liu Weimin, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Tonga, hosted a reception at the Chinese Embassy Hall to mark his assumption of office in Tonga on Friday May 17.
The event was attended by dignitaries including Her Royal Highness, Princess Salote Mafile’o Pilolevu Tuita and Lord Tuita, Prime Minister Hon Hu’akavameiliku, Hon Speaker-Lord Fakafanua, Members of Cabinet and members of the Diplomatic Corps.
Ambassador Liu and Hon Hu’akavameiliku delivered remarks emphasizing the strong and mutually beneficial relationship between China and Tonga, expressing gratitude for each other’s support and commitment to the one-China principle.
