Bilateral meeting between Hon. Prime Minister and members of the ADB Board of Executive Directors

The Hon. Prime Minister Honourable Hu’akavameiliku met with members of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Board of Executive Directors on Monday 27 February, 2024.
They warmly discussed ADB Development Assistance to Tonga; challenges and benefits; areas of cooperation and mutual interest to further deepen the relations between ADB and Tonga.
The Honourable Prime Minister acknowledged ADB’s significant help to Tonga for the budget support in partnership with other donors in various projects.
The team of Executive Directors, led by Mr. Shigeo Shimizu, included four other executive directors and two alternate executive directors, conducted some visits to several ADB-funded projects during their mission visit to Tonga.
