Bilateral Meeting between Hon. Samiu K Vaipulu, Acting Prime Minister and Special envoy of the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia

The Acting Prime Minister, Hon Samiu K Vaipulu, and Special Envoy of the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Nikola Stojanovic, who is also Foreign Policy Advisor to the National Assembly, met on Monday 20 May 2024 at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The two discussed intensifying political dialogue between Tonga and Serbia, ways to improve bilateral cooperation between the two countries, including in multilateral fora, the EXPO 2027 Exhibition to be hosted by Serbia, and the upcoming 53rd Pacific Islands Forum Leaders’ Meeting, to be hosted by Tonga in August.
The Acting Prime Minister commended on Serbia’s support for Tonga and the Pacific on issues related to the effects of Climate Change on Small Island States.
