“Hon Prime Minister meets PRC Vice-chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress”

Nuku’alofa :- The Hon Prime Minister, Hu’akavameiliku met His Excellency Hao Ping, Vice-chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee(FAC) of the National People’s Congress(NPC) of the People’s Republic of China(PRC) at the Cabinet Chamber, this morning.
The meeting were to strengthen areas of cooperation in Climate Change, Energy, Oceans, cooperation assistance, Covid 19 pandemic, Belt and Road Initiative, friendship cities relations and scholarships.
The Hon Prime Minister was accompanied to the meeting by the Chief Secretary & Secretary to Cabinet, Mr. Paula P Ma’u and two officials from the Tonga Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
