The Prime Minister, Hon. Hu’akavameiliku attended the handover ceremony of Japan’s Grant Aid to the Ministry of Infrastructure as part of the development aids to assist Tonga’s economy in infrastructure at the Fa’onelua Convention Centre on October 20, 2022.

They includes three unit of asphalt distributor trucks, one set of spare parts and 27 spare tires.

The event was also attended by the His Excellency, Kensaku Munenaga, Ambassador of Japan to Tonga, Hon. Fekitamoeloa Katoa ‘Utoikamanu, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism; Hon. Viliami Uasike Latu, Minister for Trade & Economic Development; Lord Vaea, Minister for Internal Affairs and Hon. Sevenitini Toumo’ua, Minister for Infrastructure and guests.

The Minister for Infrastructure signed the Inspection and Certificate of Receipt.
