Following the tragic loss of lives and devastation caused by the wildfire in Lahaina, Maui Island in the State of Hawaii, USA, at the beginning of the month, the Prime Minister of Tonga, Hon. Huakavameiliku, in Parliament, on behalf of His Majesty’s Government and the people of Tonga, extended his deepest sympathies with great sadness to those families that were affected.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to those families who especially loss loved ones, including our Tongan families, and may the Lord’s blessing and peace be upon them during this most difficult time

The Tonga Consul in Honolulu will provide the necessary support to replace official Tongan documents and coordinate any assistance needed from Tonga and the Tonga communities.
