“Prime Minister bilateral meeting with the Head of the United Nation Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR)”

Monday 27th, May 2024, Antigua and Barbuda:-On the margin of the Fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4), the Prime Minister, Hon. Hu’akavameiliku had the opportunity to meet with the Head of the UNDRR, Mr. Kamal Kishore.
They discussed UNDRR programs and how to strengthen and enhance the engagements and commitment towards building community resilience, and a stronger focus on contextualizing the processes of risk-informing development initiatives.
The Hon. Prime Minister congratulated, Mr. Kishore, on his newly appointed as the Head of UNDRR, and looking forward to a more direct and fruitful partnership between UNDRR and Tonga.
