Prime Minister Lord Fakafanua was pleased to receive representatives of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the Threshold Program which the MCC Board has approved for Tonga. This program brings an average of USD 20-30 million in assistance to the government to help unlock some of the economic constraints to growth in Tonga. The Prime Minister welcomes the opportunity to collaborate closely with the MCC in alignment with Tonga’s national development priorities, including sustainable economic growth, resilience and improved outcomes for the Tongan people.
