Nuku’alofa – The Honourable Prime Minister Hu’akavameiliku this morning was Guest of Honour at the annual Ministry of Education and Training’s prayer service, held at the beginning of every new academic year.

This morning’s service also included the new Tonga National University staff and management.

Hon Hu’alavameiliku also presented gifts to retiring teachers and staff at the service.

The Vicar General of the Catholic Church in Tonga, Father Lutoviko Finau, conducted the service and blessed the Minister of Education, Hon Hu’akavameiliku, Ministry and TNU staff, teachers and students for the new 2023 school year.

In his message Father Lutoviko reminded teachers to carry their cross with ceasing as there is a crown waiting for them when they have completed their journey of carrying the cross.
